Gas Prices On The Decrease Statewide

Californians are receiving good news regarding gas prices. Cynthia Harris of AAA says prices have dropped six cents in the last month. She also says the price is sixteen cents lower than this time last year. The average price per gallon is currently $3.95. Prices are not expected to increase in the coming month.

California has the fifth highest state average price for regular unleaded gasoline. Hawaii has the highest price per gallon at $4.35. The least expensive average price in Northern California can be found in Marysville.

However the New Federal Excise tax will increase effective July 1st 2013
from .36cent to .395cents
up it goes another 3 & half cents
