Good Police Work Catches Hit and Run Driver in GV

Some good police work by a Grass Valley officer led to the arrest of a hit and run driver Wednesday morning. Apparently a vehicle had struck an older model van parked in the area of Bennett and Kidder Streets in Grass Valley. Lt. Alex Gammelgard tells KNCO that officer Dale Norvell responded to the scene and discovered evidence of the incident.

With that information along with color left from paint transfer on the van, Norvell put out a vehicle description.
A short while later, the vehicle was located by another officer who initiated a traffic stop. While questioning the driver, the officer determined the driver, 42 year old Nicole Hale, may be impaired.
