The adult Bethel AME Choir will perform in the afternoon along with other gospel groups from the Bay Area and beyond. Grass Valley’s own Paige Anderson and The Fearless Kin will also be on stage. The festival opens at 11 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m. Saturday May 25th at Nevada City United Methodist Church at the top of Broad Street. Jones says this is an all ages event and there is a suggested donation of $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and children. Southern food will be served for a small fee. All funds raised will go to support the efforts of the United Methodist Committee on Relief to refurbish the old Mutare Hospital in Zimbabwe.
