The Grass Valley City council is working with local developers to move previously approved building projects forward. During the public hearing portion of Tuesday night’s meeting the planning commission is recommending to amend the Grass valley development code related to a 3 year time extension for previously approved projects. City Manager Dan Holler explains the extension will assist builders by not requiring any new application fees associated with projects that were approved by the planning commission but expired as builders were unable to move forward due to the poor economy.
“This is stuff that’s been out there. You know, the economic downturn has put a lot of them on hold. Instead of making them come back in and pay more fees for a continuation, this would just roll it out automatically.”
The Grass Valley City Council will meet Tuesday at 7pm in council chambers at Grass Valley City City Hall at 125 East Main Street in Grass Valley.
