Grass Valley Firefighters Blood Drive

Grass Valley Fire Department Station 2 on Sierra College off E. Main Street is hosting a blood drive this Friday. Firefighter Chris Gregory says it’s another way to reach out to the community.

Firefighter blood drive

The blood drive will be conducted by Blood Source of Grass Valley from 1 pm to 8pm at Grass Valley Fire Station 2. One of the highlights of the day will be the Centennial donation of Firefighter Robert Haggerty. Haggerty says he has been donating for years as his way to give back in addition to being a firefighter for Nevada County consolidated Fire District.

Firefighter Gregory is hoping for at least 20 members of the public coming out to donate. Blood Source says they need at least that much to set up a regular donation program for the community. If you would like more information about blood donations or blood Source you can call the Grass Valley Blood Source office at (866) 822-5663.
