Painter and his crews were working 16 hours a day for two and a half weeks putting in new poles and stringing wire. He says the victims were very appreciative of their efforts…

Although the work is long and dangerous, no P-G-and-E workers were injured while they were there. Painter now gets some well-deserved time off. He had already planned to take a vacation this week, but will be back on the job in Nevada County next Monday.
