A Grass Valley man is under arrest after punching holes in the walls and attacking his mother in her home. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says the incident happened Saturday afternoon on Hanley Drive in Alta Sierra. Sheriff Royal says 58 year old Gary Castor was upset because his brother was coming over to the house. The Sheriff says Caster was so upset he punched several holes in the wall of the home and then went after his 82 year old mother.
“Our victim, an 82 year old female, had reported that her son, Gary Castor, age 58, apparently had grabbed her by the arms, twisted them and pushed her down onto a couch. Apparently he lives in the downstairs apartment at the home. He had become enraged before our arrival.”
Castor who was described as heavily intoxicated was taken into custody for felony elder abuse and vandalism. The victim was not seriously injured in the incident.
