A break up of a relationship landed a Grass Valley Woman in jail for assault with a deadly weapon. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says a former boyfriend of 20 year old Kelsey Dipietro went to their Gibboney Lane home Sunday afternoon to retrieve some property after their break up. The victim found the door to the home locked. He returned a short time later and this time heard the door being unlocked. The Sheriff says the victim entered the home only to be confronted by his former girlfriend holding a shotgun on him.
“He enters the residence, the ex-boyfriend, and he’s trying to see if she is home. He wants to get the items that belong to him at the residence and apparently she comes up behind him with a shotgun and points it at him and a confrontation occurs. He immediately tries to grab the shotgun so he’s not shot.”
The Sheriff says after wrestling the shot gun away the victim and his brother fled the home leaving the shot gun in the grass at the end of the driveway. When Deputies completed their investigation Dipietro was taken into custody for suspicion of domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon.
