Nevada City and Grass Valley Police have wrapped up an identity theft investigation where an employee was suspected of compromising as many as 160 customers of a Nevada City Business.
Yesterday morning Nevada City and Grass Valley Police officers executed a search warrant at the home of 28 year old Jennifer Yeoman on the 200 block of Vistamont Drive in Grass Valley. The investigation was initiated after a Nevada City business reported they had fired Yeoman after finding out she was currently going through the judicial process for credit card theft and identity theft.
Since Yeoman had access to the company accounts and customer credit cards and other pertinent information, the owners took immediate action.
Several customers of the business responded advising that their credit card information had been utilized to make several unauthorized purchases.
Yeoman was contacted at the residence on Vistamont Drive yesterday morning and was subsequently arrested for embezzlement, theft of credit card information, identity theft and possession of stolen property.
