Habitat for Humanity Street of Dreams

The Habitat for Humanity’s Street of Dreams fundraiser is Friday September 30th at the Miners Foundry in Nevada City. This gala event offers food provided by Chef Antonio Ayestaran, entertainment, and live and silent auctions. Lorraine Larson with our local Nevada county habitat for Humanity highlights some of the raffle auction items available.

“They’re listed on our website and we have some great stuff. So it’s a lot of fun, you come to have a great time, but then you leave with Christmas gifts or things you need like tree trimming or we just got in a certificate for six hours of window cleaning.”

To look at all the auction items available go to the web site NC Habitat.org. Larson says the money raised from this event will go to build homes 4 and 5 on Joyce Drive in the 16 home Heritage Oaks Project.

“We have a family for house number four, the Misley family, and we’re in the process of selecting families for houses five through eight. That’s happening now and we’ll begin building the houses four and five pretty soon, here.”

Tickets are $35 dollars each and are AVAILABLE AT: -Briar Patch, The Book Seller, and at Nevada County Habitat for Humanity Office at 236 South Church Street, Grass Valley, CA
