Home Invasion Robbery in Penn Valley

The Nevada County Sheriff’s office responded to a 9-1-1 call in the 21 thousand block of McDaniel road in Penn Valley around 5:30 this morning. Sheriff Keith Royal says 2 victims reported 4 masked gunmen forcibly entered the residence while they were sleeping. The suspects threatened to shoot them, bound and tied them with duct tape. The suspects robbed them of their medicinal marijuana, a rifle, a shotgun and handgun were also taken along with miscellaneous electronics. The victims were able to free themselves and called the Sherriff’s office. Deputies and detectives from the major crimes unit identified one of the suspects as Michael Joseph Seagrave, age 31of Grass Valley. A (bolo) be on the lookout, was put out to local law enforcement. The Grass Valley Police Department pulled Seagrave over at 10:30 this morning on Main Street in Grass Valley. Seagraves was uncooperative and Nevada county Deputies responded to assist to take him into custody. Evidence from the robbery was found in the vehicle seagrave was driving. Seagrave was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility for a variety of charges including armed robbery, carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle, possession of stolen property, conspiracy, and committing a felony while out on felony bail. Deputies and detectives are continuing their investigation to identify the 3 three remaining suspects, locate and arrest them as well.
