Hospitality House Open House

Hospitality House, Nevada County’s homeless shelter will host an Open House at their new facility this Saturday, November 19th.   They will have tours of their new building at 1262 Sutton Way and the building will be dedicated as “Utah’s Place”, for Utah Phillips a local songwriter and entertainer.    Utah’s son Brendon Phillips will be on hand to sing some of Utah’s songs for the crowd.

“A good friend of mine, Body Busick and I are going to come and play some songs and we’re going to just celebrate the opening with everyone there and hopefully we’ll have some sing alongs and have people singing together. Voices united are a good way to lift spirits and keep things going. So that’s what we’re going to do at Hospitality House.”

The open house Saturday from is from 3 to 7 pm and will include tours refreshments and opportunities to learn about supporting the center as a volunteer or donor.  Signup sheets will allow participants to pledge either labor or monetary assistance.

Organizers hope to open the 54 bed facility next spring.
