Intimidation and Violence Leads to Arrests in Separate Incidents

A teenage girl and a woman were victims of assault in two separate incidents led to arrests on Thursday. In the first incident Nevada County Sheriff Captain Jeff Pettitt says that a 15 year girl was allegedly beaten by 41 year old Kevin Glover. The girl had been in an argument with Glover while sitting in his car.

Glover was taken into custody the following day for inflicting corporal punishment on the young girl.

In a separate incident a Penn Valley woman was assaulted by 59 year old Kevin Hyland who shared a residence with her. Captain Pettitt says deputies responded to the residence around 11:00 PM Thursday night.

The victim says the situation began with an argument  that grew out of control.

Deputies contacted Hyland inside the residence and was taken into custody on domestic violence charges.
