The Kids Assistance & Respite in Emergencies support facility- better known as the KARE Crisis Nursery may be in danger of reducing services.
The program, in its 8th year, provides short-term emergency housing and services for children and families in crisis.
Lynne Woerner, Executive Director, talks about much the Nursery’s much needed respite services that allow children to be cared for while families in stress can work to resolve issues.
All KARE Crisis Nursery services are provided free of charge.
With an annual budget close to $180,000, Woerner is concerned that KARE Crisis Nursery may have to reduce services because of limited funds. The Board of Directors has established a KARE Partner program to help provide ongoing funds.
