A male subject standing on the side of the road near Peterson Corner ended up going to jail for possession of drugs and a weapon. The male, 21 year old Brandon Dall, caught the eye of a Nevada County Sheriff deputy that was driving by and stopped to make a welfare check. Captain Jeff Pettitt says that Dall looked as if he was under the influence of a controlled substance.
As Dall was drinking the water the deputy asked Dall if he was under the influence or used any methamphetamine. Dall said he hadn’t used in weeks. At that point the deputy asked if he had anything illegal on his person and was surprised by Dall’s response.*
Dall was taken into custody for possession of a concealed dagger and a subsequent search located paraphernalia and small amount of methamphetamine. Dall was transported and booked for possession related charges and possession of the knife.
