Had a great conversation with Gary Plunkett on Fitzsimmons and Flores Monday afternoon. He is a great guy..hard worker and has great pride on what he does at the Nevada Cemetery District. He is also a huge basketball fan and former NU great. He named an all-time NU basketball roster but mentioned maybe the best basketball player of all time during the show. So, I wanted to mention it here and get your feedback. Kellie Cook is the best of all time. Put the NU girls program not only on the map, but to a major level that it stayed at for years. And yes…a girl!

Tom Fitzsimmons is the Station Manager for Nevada County Broadcasters, and morning show host at KNCO NewsTalk 830, but his favorite job is being father to his daughters, Katie and Kelly. Tom has also remarried and his love is Roxanne, a RN at Sierra Nevada, with two great kids, Tyson and Megan. Tom and Roxanne just became grandparents with the birth of Megan's daughter, Hazel Virginia. Tom also is the voice of High School Football and Basketball play by play. His hobbies include playing and watching all sports and taking long hikes both locally and in the Sierras with his dog, Angel. He also has taken up distance running and just completed his second half marathon.
