Local Author Enjoying Success

Local author Chris Enss’ book “The Doctor Wore Petticoats: Women Physicians of the Old West” has made the New York Times best-seller list and it has also made it onto the Wall Street Journal best-seller list. Enss says  the book is about the highly trained doctors who headed west and solidified a place for women in the medical field.  Enss has written more than two dozen books on the subject of women of the Old West and she recommends them for young readers.*

Enss is taking a different track with here latest book in progress, which will be about inmate baseball teams.*

Enns says there was quite a bit of gambling associated with the teams and people wanted the players to keep winning so they could continue to win money.*

Enss says there’s also a wonderful romance story  as well as a murder mystery in the new book.
