Four women veterans from three wars- World War II, Vietnam, and the Persian Gulf-Iraq conflicts- shared four different perspectives and four different pathways of service to the United States Military. However, it was the 21st Century soldier that told the most compelling story. Local high school graduate, Lindsey Waterman, served in the US Army from 2003-2006. For Lindsey the Army was a way out of a hard situation.
Waterman’s three years in the service provided her with knowledge and experience to be successful when she returned to civilian life.
Waterman has also raised her six year old daughter, Ruby, while completing her education at UC Davis.
Waterman intends to earn a Master’s in Business Administration from Sacramento State.
