The Magic Lantern Film Society, Crest Theatre and Miners Foundry Cultural Center present 2 nights of “Deconstructing the Beatles-A Multimedia Journey into the Studio with the Beatles with composer, producer and Beatles expert Scott Freiman. The two day series starts Thursday February 9th at The Crest Theatre on Sacramento’s K Street with a multi media exploration of the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts club Band, considered one of the most influential albums of our time. Friday night the show moves to Miner’s Foundry in Nevada City where the Beatles’ White Album will be explored.
“The White album, which is what I’ll be doing in Nevada City. That was a time when the Beatles were starting to drift apart. So they were going their separate ways in some respects and we can hear some of the things that were going on in the studio and in their personal lives as well as what was going on in 1968 and what musical influences were factoring in and what cultural influences were factoring in and so forth.”
Tickets are $15 general admission. For tickets and more information on the shows go to www. minersfoundry.org.
