Man Arrested for Impersonating an Officer

A man using a phony badge is under arrest for using the badge at an area school. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says a couple traveling on Highway 174 at Union Hill School saw a vehicle flashing his lights at them and showing a badge, Sheriff Royal says the couple pulled over and the badge carrying driver continued on. The Sheriff says the couple contacted a Placer County Deputy when they found the man and his car at a cannabis club in Colfax. A Nevada County Deputy and the Placer Deputy approached the man and identified him.

“Ultimately what we had found is that he had several badges in the vehicle. He was ultimately arrested for impersonating a peace officer as well as reckless driving and booked into the jail.”

The Sheriff says that Krummenacher allegedly said the badge belonged to his dog, not him.
