Man at Large After Armed Robbery

An armed man is still at large after holding up a Penn Valley gas station with a hand gun. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says a man entered the Chevron Station on Highway 20 and Pleasant Valley road early yesterday (Monday) morning. He pointed a gun at the clerk and the money was removed from the cash register.

“He’s described as being in his 20s, about 5’ 10” about 150 pounds, wearing black clothing, which included a black bandana and a black hat. Apparently he approached our cashier, pointed a semi-automatic hand gun at him and demanded the money.”

The suspect fled on foot from the station. The clerk was not hurt in the incident. The Sheriff is asking anyone with information to contact his office at 265-7880.
