Man Injured in Oregon House Shooting

An argument over a football game ended with one man being shot. Yuba County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Damon Gil says the incident began in Oregon House Thursday night, while two men were watching the NFL game. Lieutenant Gil says for some reason the argument got heated.

“When one of the friends started to leave the residence, the suspect allegedly picked up a gun and fired several shots through a bedroom door and one of those shots did strike our victim in the upper right arm.”

Lieutenant Gil says the victim was treated and released from Rideout Hospital. The suspect, 53 year old Michael Vito was taken into custody for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharging of a firearm.
