The report of marijuana growing operations in the Nevada County continues to get larger. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says since is office started receiving complaints about marijuana growing operations in the county the telephone has not stopped ringing.
The Sheriff says the action taken by his department is that of a land use issue rather than a law enforcement issue. Sheriff Royal says the recently passed ordinance was as a result complaint from residents throughout the entire county.
The Sheriff says his deputies will continue their compliance checks on the reported growing operations. Several challenges have been filed in court against the ordinance.
