Meth Bust in Yuba County

One man is in custody on drug and weapons charges after Net-5 agents served a search warrant at his West Linda home Thursday morning, Lt. Damon Gil with the Yuba county Sheriff’s office says Robert McCommas, 36, was stopped by the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department after having dropped his children off at school.

“He was stopped by the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department after having dropped his children off at a local school. During a search of him and the vehicle, we found over three grams of methamphetamine. Net -5 agents subsequently served a search warrant at McCommas’s home. At the home, they located an unregistered hand gun and approximately ten pounds of marijuana.”

The investigation revealed that McCommas possessed the marijuana under a Proposition 215 prescription, but he traded some of the marijuana for methamphetamine. The search warrant and arrest concluded a month-long investigation.  McCommas was booked into the Yuba County Jail on multiple drug charges, possession of a firearm with special circumstances and child endangerment.
