There will be a new member of the Nevada County Board of Supervisors next year. With the final ballots being tabulated a little after midnight this morning, results show Grass Valley mayor Dan Miller as the winner in the District Three race.
Miller referring to campaign manager Yolanda Cookson. Miller ended up with 54 percent of the vote, to incumbent Terry Lamphier’s 46 percent.
Lamphier indicated that he might run for Grass Valley City Council in November. Miller’s seat will be up for election this fall, along with Vice-Mayor Jason Fouyer’s.
In the other supervisors race, Fourth District Supervisor Hank Weston will retain his seat. He picked up 61 percent of the vote–avoiding a runoff in November with top challenger Fran Cole, who earned 34 percent of the vote. Jedediah Biagi picked up 5 percent.
