Motorcycle and Mini Van Collide in Nevada City

We now have identification of the parties involved in a motorcycle versus vehicle accident on that occurred   in Nevada City the night of Halloween. The man driving the motorcycle is identified as 41 year old Greg Sol of Nevada City. Consolidated Battalion Chief Tom Browning says the incident occurred at 6:54 PM in a residential area of Nevada City.

“The accident was on Grove Street, which is off of Nevada Street, and it’s kind of a narrow, residential road that goes back through the country. It happened on kind of a crest of a hill and a motorcycle collided head on, almost directly in the middle of a small minivan.”

 Browning says the driver of the motorcycle went off the bike hit the windshield of the van and then flew over it. Sol received major injuries and was flown to Sutter Roseville Trauma Center by Cal Star Air Ambulance where he remains in critical condition.  Christina Romero of Grass Valley who is in advanced pregnancy was driving the minivan with Elexis Witness of Penn Valley in the Front passenger seat. Their two sons were in the back seats. The occupants in the minivan   were transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for further medical evaluation but did not suffer any injuries.
