Sheriff investigators arrested a man after his home was searched for drugs. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says Investigators went to a home on Gayle Lane in Nevada City. They were looking for 26 year old Christopher Dibert (die-bert). When they knocked on the door it took Dibert several minutes to open the door. The Sheriff says when he was asked why it took him so long, he said he had to put his shoes on.
“When asked why it took him so long, he said he was trying to get his shoes and socks on and when they looked down, he wasn’t wearing any shoes or socks.”
Because Dibert was on probation investigators searched his home. The Sheriff says a specially constructed hiding place was found in a sofa.
“He had, hidden in a secret compartment in his sofa in the garage, a box containing a number of syringes as well as a tin container that had a white powdery substance which tested positive fro methamphetamine.”
Dibert was taken into custody for suspicion of violation of probation, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of the syringes.
