Nevada City Postal Company Seized by Nevada County Treasurer

The Nevada City Postal Company has been seized due to unpaid taxes.  Patrons of the Postal Company who have the benefit of a Commercial Street address rather then a PO Box were directed to the US Postal Service, local UPS and Federal Express offices  to pick up their mail, packages and for other services. Owner of the postal services business, which includes approximately three hundred rented mail boxes, is former Nevada City Chamber of Commerce President and current treasurer, Bob Buhlis.  Buhlis reportedly owes the county more than five thousand dollars in unpaid taxes, fines and fees.  He has until next Friday (June 29th) to pay the county.  If Buhlis fails to do so, the property will be auctioned off.  Buhlis opened the Nevada City Postal Company in 1993.
