Nevada City Rotary Clubs Receive Grant for Landscape at Miners Foundry

Nevada City’s two Rotary clubs have a won a Rotary District 5190 grant for a landscape improvement project at Miners Foundry Cultural Center in downtown Nevada City.

The Nevada City Rotary Club and the 49er Breakfast Rotary Club of Nevada City have each committed $1500 and volunteer labor to the project. The matching district grant brings the project total to $6000.

The local Rotarians have planned the landscape work in association with the staff at Miners Foundry. Leading the effort were 49er Rotary President Larry Meek, 49er Rotary Community Service Director Dave Robinson, Nevada City Rotary President Carolyn Inglis and Community Service Director Karen Young. Young submitted the successful grant application.

The landscape improvement project is planned for this spring.
