Nevada County Arts Collaborates with SYRCL Wild and Scenic Film Festival

Nevada County arts is partnering with SYRCL’s Wild and Scenic Film Festival to create the largest coordinated art show of its kind in Nevada County to run in conjunction with the film festival which is considered to be the largest film festival of its kind. The festival that runs January 13th thru the 15th will feature 117 films, 28 of which will be premieres, and Nevada County Arts Board member Nancy Nelson says in deciding to join SYRCL they issued a call for artists.

“We sent a call out to artists in early October and selected 56 artists who will have their work on display throughout Nevada City at 30 venues in and also in the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley and Briarpatch.”

Twenty artists work will be on display in the “Jury Selection Exhibit” at the Alpha Building on Broad Street, which is the Festival headquarters.
