New Vehicle for Hetty's Haven

Women of Worth now have a late model minivan thanks to Nevada County South Rotary, who spearheaded a district grant to purchase a vehicle for Women of Worth to help transport shelter families staying at Hetty’s Haven Verna Mac Donell with women of worth explains the need this gift has filled.

“Sometimes we have several family members staying in Hetty’s Haven and then they have needs for transportation to medical appointments, court appointments, employment services appointments and other supportive services in the community. Having the ability to transport them in a vehicle that will accommodate any number of people is just a lot more beneficial for the organization.”

Nevada County South Rotary, together with the Nevada City, Auburn Daybreak and Gold Country Rotary Clubs, raised funds and worked with Pioneer Motors to deliver the vehicle to Women of Worth.
