NID Pipeline Installation Ahead of Schedule

The Manager of NID’s Banner Cascade pipeline project, Brian Powell is advising people that work will get started ahead of schedule today (Monday 9/19) at the top of Red Dog Road on the south side of Banner Lava Cap.

“The work will be on Red Dog Road on the South Side of Banner Lava Cap starting on Monday morning and there will be delays up to 20 minutes as the work progresses up the road. We have about 2,000 feet of pipe to put in in the next couple of week and we are leaving one lane of traffic open to allow people to get their kids to school and not have any delays.”

Powell says the 54 inch diameter pipe they are installing arrived earlier than expected so they decided to get ahead of the weather and keep the project moving along.
