No DUIs on Superbowl Sunday

The Grass Valley Police Department is happy to report there were no DUI arrests following Sunday’s Super Bowl. Captain Rex Marks says this is not unusual in our area.

“For us anyway, over the last four years, we have had zero arrests for DUI on Superbowl Sunday.”

The Grass Valley Police department participates in the Avoid the 5 program which involves the CHP, County Sheriff and local police departments to conduct saturation patrols looking for drunk drivers to reduce accidents and deaths in our area.
