North San Juan Man Arrested for Kidnapping and Beating

A North San Juan man is in jail after beating and kidnapping his girlfriend. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says a Deputy on patrol found a woman walking down Tyler Foote Road in a rain storm, Monday night. The Sheriff says when the woman was questioned; she said she had been repeatedly hit, punched, dragged by her hair and threatened with a gun. She tried to escape and her ex boyfriend would drag her back by her hair. The Sheriff says the victim was taken to Sierra Nevada Hospital for treatment.

“They had got into an argument; he had struck her a number of times about the face. Her eye was starting to turn colors from the bruising. Her lip was bleeding, she had blood on her hands.”

30 year old Douglas Hall of North San Juan was found a short distance away sitting in a car. He was taken into custody without incident. He was arrested for kidnapping, domestic violence, assault with a deadly weapon, and criminal threats.
