One Arrested in Motel Altercation

A domestic fight at a local motel prompted the Grass Valley Police to arrest one man. Captain Rex Marks says officers were called to the Coach and Four Motel Monday morning, for a domestic fight between a husband and wife. Captain Marks says just prior to officers’ arrival, 29 year old Joel Wagner fled. He says Officers searched the area and found the man.

“Officers responding learned that one individual had, in fact, caused damage to a door to one of the rooms and had left the scene. Officers checking the area did locate a subject meeting the description, ultimately making contact with him.”

Wagner was also found in possession of a dangerous weapon, being under the influence of dangerous drugs. He was booked into the Wane Brown Correctional Facility. Through the investigation no arrest was made for domestic violence. Considerable damage was done to one of the Motels doors.
