One Injured on 174 Accident

A 75 year old man lost control of his car on Highway 174, Tuesday morning. CHP Public Information Officer Heather Blancarte says the man lost control of his 2005 Nissan near Lower Colfax Road. Officer Blancarte says the driver said he was only going twenty miles an hour when the car left the road and went up an embankment.

“The driver allowed the vehicle to drive off the roadway and went up the embankment and overturned, landing in the northbound lane. The driver was injured and was taken to Sierra Nevada Hospital by ambulance.”

The CHP is focusing their investigation on what caused the driver to lose control of the car as it left the road.
