PAG Present Adventure on the High Seas

The Nevada County Performing Arts Guild, PAG, Opened their spring musical this past weekend with an adaptation of Gilbert and Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore Adventure on the High Seas.   PAG executive director Paulette Rudolph says HMS Pinafore is one of 14 famous musicals and this version has been adapted by Mila (Me-la) Johansen for family audiences and includes a cast of 38 young actors. She says they constructed a two story ship for the set and several colorful period costumes.

“We weave through a hilarious series of events as the Captain tries to keep control of his whole family of daughters. The sailors on his ship have a long kept secret that is sure to change the order of things forever.”

The musical runs next Friday through   Sunday March 11th at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley.
