A person of interest caught the eye of a Nevada County sheriff deputy on patrol just west of Grass Valley by the Oak Market on Squirrel Creek Road. Sheriff Keith Royal says the deputy recognized 34 year old Lawarence Henslee as being on parole with searchable conditions standing by an SUV . Henslee drove the SUV past the deputy and the deputy initiated a stop.

The paraphernalia was determined to be used for heroin and contained a quantity of residue.
A search of the vehicle uncovered additional items that appeared out of place.

Henslee was charged with the parole violation, possession of a narcotic and possession of paraphernalia.
