Penn Valley Woman Arrested on Drug Charges

A Penn Valley woman was taken into custody for possession of dangerous drugs after she was found sleeping in a van. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says Deputies responded to a loud noise call Wednesday night on Gracie Road east of Nevada City. Deputies checked on several people sleeping in a van at the location. 42 year old Samatha Fox of Penn Valley was found to be under the influence of dangerous drugs. The Sheriff says she told Deputies she was trying to contact her doctor.

“When asked had she had a prescription for the drug she indicated that she did, that she tried to refill the prescription, but apparently said that the doctor who had given her the prescription had apparently been arrested by the DEA.”

Fox was found to be out on bail from a previous arrest. She was also arrested for suspicion of being under the influence and being in possession of dangerous drugs.
