Pennsylvania Men Arrested in Nevada County for Drug Cultivation and Sales

Three Pennsylvania men were taken into custody after Narcotics Investigators found marijuana and a large quantity of cash in a Quail Creek Road home Tuesday. Nevada County Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Powell says Narcotic’s Investigators went to a home near Alta Sierra Tuesday afternoon and found drugs and cash.

“They ended up with 32 marijuana plants, 5-10 pounds of processed cola and $38,000 in cash. Three young men were arrested for cultivation, transportation and sales and it’s believed these individuals were out of Pennsylvania and living in mom’s house.”

The three men all in their twenties were from Pennsylvania. The Captain said it is likely that the men were growing the marijuana, and then shipping it to the east coast where prices are much higher. The thirty-eight thousand dollars was taken as evidence. The men were taken into custody for suspicion of cultivation and possession for sale and conspiracy.
