Phone Threats Consitiute Harassment

A local man is in jail after making hundreds of telephone call each day threatening a woman. Nevada County Undersheriff Joe Salivar says 37 year old Ben Peter was upset over the break up of a relationship. He was calling hundreds of times every day  leaving threatening messages on the victims phone. The undersheriff says he was threatening to harm the victim, her daughter, and her mother.

The Undersheriff says investigators were able to locate Ben Peter Friday evening and take him into custody. He was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility, were his bail set at a quarter of a million dollars. A emergency restraining order was also issued.
