Pine Cone Circle Robbery

In the early hours yesterday (Thursday) morning, the Nevada County Sheriff’s office received a call of a residential robbery in progress in the 12 thousand block of Pine Cone Circle in Grass Valley. The homeowner said t2 males were attempting to break into his work shop.  He fired a warning shot into the air and yelled at the suspects but the suspected robbers did not leave so the homeowner fired additional shots at the 2 men. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says officers found evidence of the shooting.

“Once they arrived at the scene the officers found spent firearm casings, they found bullet holes and also blood was found at the scene. While our officers were investigating what had transpired, they received additional information that a male subject had been dropped off at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital and had a gunshot wound.”

Deputies contacted the subject at the hospital, no arrests have been made and the incident is still under investigation.
