The Nevada County Public Health Department is trying to educate the public about properly hydrating the body without using sugary beverages. Health and Wellness Program Manager, Jill Blake, says ReThink Your Drink focuses on the effects of sugary drinks on the body.
Blake says the program provides simple alternatives to sugar sweetened drinks.
The program also provides examples of just how much sugar people consume when regularly drinking sugary beverages.
Thursday the ReThink Your Drink Program will be at the Nevada County Fair providing tasty alternatives to visitors that want to quench there thirst.
Blake will have a display showing how much sugar a person takes in if they drink one soda a day along with other information.
The ReThink Your Drink Campaign will be at he Fair Thursday from 10:00 Am until about 5:00 PM.
