County Public Works Director Steve Castleberry says the work stretches from the county’s western border to the Rood Center, and down to the county’s southern border. There have been complaints about the road surface being torn up. Castleberry says repairs will be made, and will not come from county coffers….

Castleberry says the fiber optic project is about 90 percent complete, and repairs will be made soon, after local asphalt plants are up and running. The major thoroughfares affected by the project include Mooney Flat, Pleasant Valley, Bitney Springs, New Town, Indian Flat, Ridge, McCourtney, Lime Kiln, Wolf, Combie, and Magnolia Roads.
