Auburn Police have now made two arrests in a robbery that took place Monday evening in Ashford Park off of Auburn Ravine Road in Auburn. At about 10:50 p.m. Auburn Police received a call from a person who reported they were just robbed at gunpoint by two suspects at Ashford Park. Auburn Police Sgt. Hutchins says the male suspect put a gun to the victims head.
“Our victim went to Ashford Park to use the restroom and while at the park, he was approached by two people. One of the suspects put a gun to his head and demanded his wallet and his cell phone and after they got that, they left the area in their vehicle.”
The suspect vehicle was seen by a Placer County Sheriff’s deputy who was in the area. Once the traffic stop was initiated, the suspect, 21 year old Lukas Lambeth of Auburn, pulled over and he was taken into custody without incident. The stolen items along with a loaded semi-automatic handgun were recovered from the suspect and his vehicle. A second suspect, first believed to be a female, but later was identified as a white male, 19 year old Tyler Burzinski of Auburn. He was taken into custody late Tuesday.
