Scooter’s Pals is inviting the public to their Fourth Annual Fundraiser and Celebration on Saturday, October 15, at 6:00 p.m. at Seaman’s Lodge in Pioneer Park, 427 Nimrod Street, Nevada City. For one evening, Seaman’s Lodge will be transformed into the “Lucky Dog Casino and Saloon,” with a Wild West theme during the Gold Rush days. Susan Wallace with Scooter’s Pals says this is their major fundraiser for year and shares how the proceeds will be invested in caring for the dogs.
“It’s a big day for us. We try to live off this big event for a few months in the winter to help the dogs. All we do with our money is vet bills and food and a little boarding if we lose our foster homes before we find another one.”
Music will be provided by Grease Grit and Grime, hors d’ oeuvres and deserts will be provided as well as a silent auction and raffles throughout the evening. Tickets are $45 dollars and include entry and $10 in gaming chips, Susan says if you say “Scooter’s Says” when you walk in the door you will get extra chips. You can also earn extra chips by dressing in a Wild West or Gold Rush era costume. For more info or to buy tickets visit:www.scooterspalsevents.org/
