Second Man Arrested in Home Invasion Robbery

A second man has been arrested in a home invasion robbery by four masked men in Big Oak valley on February 27th, and a third person is being sought. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says 35 year old Brian Estrada was taken into custody outside a gym on South Auburn Street, Friday evening. The Sheriff says the investigation implicated Estrada in a home invasion robbery were marijuana and firearms were taken. Sheriff Royal says another person has been identified and is being sought.

“Last week we had officers standing by. They recognized him from a photo we had of him and actually, we got him coming out of the gym and he was taken into custody without incident and he was booked into the jail. Additionally, we’ve identified a third suspect who is currently at large and we are in the process of identifying his whereabouts in the hopes of taking him into custody shortly.”

The Sheriff says investigators have recovered five pounds of marijuana and several of the firearms taken have been recovered. The Sheriff says investigators are still working to identify the fourth suspect that was described by the victims.
