Rita Stevens joined KNCO as morning news anchor in 1999. She comes to KNCO following a 20 year career in journalism in the San Francisco Bay Area. She was a news reporter for KRON TV Channel 4 and KPIX, and earlier worked in the newsrooms at KNEW/KSAN radio. Rita is a graduate of San Jose State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. Rita says she came to Nevada County to enjoy the rural pace and finds working in a community radio station like KNCO refreshing. Her hobbies include bicycle riding, and quilting.

See You at Party In Pink

I hope you will make it if you can to the Party in Pink Zumbathon on Saturday at Club Sierra.  I know my friend and Zumba Instructor extraordinaire, Geri Campbell is working hard to make this a fun event and raise funds for Breast Cancer treatment and research. $25 for all the events.   I will be there to Zumba….haven’t decided yet if I’ll follow that up with Zumba in the Pool or Yoga but I’m sure it will be a fun event.   Get ready to Party yourself into shape!     Geri’s message is below.
Hi everyone….here is the updated schedule for “Party in Pink” Zumbathon on Sat. Oct. 20th. Starting at 9:00 am…Zumba dance until 10:30. Then Yoga is from 10:30 til 11:30. But wait, there is more…. for the first time in Grass valley…Zumba in the pool!!!. That class will start at 10:45 am. So you have lots of activities to pick from. Also, at 12:00 there will be a drawing for all the great prizes. Tickets are $1 at the door. You must have attended event to win. See you there.
