Seminar, Rural Property Management

Nevada County Resource Conservation District is offering its fall Seminar Rural Property Management with Keith Crabtree Sierra College Instructor. Crabtree explains that new property owners have a lot to learn about managing property in Nevada county.

“Anybody that buys more than a couple of acres then, I’m sure they’ll just get lots of ideas out of this thing. It’s an overall picture so they understand before they go running out to start doing something, they need to make out a plan with all these different things because I don’t care how much money you have, if you want to put some pastures in or you want to put an irrigation system in, you have to do it in a certain time frame. If you have to do a planting in springtime only, which means we have to have the irrigation in the fall or the summer.”

This seminar will be at the Kentucky Flat Schoolhouse on October 8, 2011 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Space is limited so you MUST REGISTER. The fee to attend is $10. Call 272-3417 extension 103 to register.
