Sheriff Investigating Bizarre Death

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a bizarre incident that resulted in the death of a Nevada City man. Royal says the woman approached him to see if he was okay. He said he had fallen asleep in the tree, but when the woman tried to call 9-1-1 to help him, Royal says the man went after the woman and grabbed the phone…

Royal says the woman drove to a place where she could get cell reception, and called 9-1-1. Officers found 37 year-old Ryan Ehrlich of Nevada City unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. The cause of death is still under investigation.
